　　Academic Entry Requirements

　　Undergraduate

　　To gain direct general admission to an undergraduate course at Flinders, you must have successfully completed a recognised Secondary Education qualification and satisfy our English language proficiency requirements.

　　Applicants who do not meet our Academic or English language requirements and need to improve their proficiency can do so through our approved pathway providers.

　　Gaokao academic entry requirements

　　The table below set the 2015 Gaokao scores required for entry to most of the undergraduate courses at Flinders University. On meeting the required Gaokao score, students should also satisfy any course prerequisites and must meet the English language requirements of each individual course.

　　GaoKao applications will go through Flinders standard application process including the provision of the following documents:

　　Certified evidence of the official Gaokao result issued by provincial level Academy of Education Recruitment and Examination in both Chinese and English translation identifying the stream students have taken in the examination.

　　Certified Senior Middle School graduation certificate and transcript in both Chinese and English

　　Note 1: Arts (High Achievers), Laws & Legal Practice, Psychology (Honours), Engineering/Masters combined, Science (High Achievers), Speech Pathology

　　Note 2: Clinical Sciences/Medicine, Midwifery, Nutrition and Dietetics are excluded from Gaokao Entry.

　　Note 3: Flinders University reserves the right to make changes to the Gaokao entry without prior notice.

　　English language requirements

　　International students must satisfy our English language proficiency requirements for admission. For applicants whose first language is not English they will need to have:

　　Achieved the required level for the course you are applying for. The scores to meet the various levels are shown below; or

　　Successful completion of an approved secondary or tertiary qualification, taught in the English language in a country where English is the official language or the main language spoken (for up to an overall IELTS of 6.5) with evidence no more than five years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course; or

　　Successfully completed a pre-course English program from an approved ELICOS Provider.

　　Other evidence of English language proficiency may be accepted.

　　Evidence of English language proficiency must be no more than two years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course.
