Step into nature, get close to nature, and see the beautiful rivers and mountains of our motherland. My mother took me to Yuntai Mountain in Henan for a trip during the summer vacation.
When I arrived there, I realized the wonder of nature. Standing at the foot of the mountain, I couldn't see the mountaintop when I looked up. The mountain top is surrounded by clouds, hence the name Yuntai Mountain. We took the bus, and the tour guide said that even if we walk for a few days, we won't be able to reach the mountaintop. The car was driving on the winding and rugged mountain road. All the mountain roads are coiled around the mountains like a giant dragon. We have passed through about a dozen caves, and the closer we get to Shangdingshan Road, the more dangerous it becomes. Some sections of the road are adjacent to cliffs, and I feel scared every time I turn. Finally reaching the mountaintop, we first went to Zhuyu Peak and then to Xiaozhaigou, where the scenery was beautiful, the air was fresh, and the spring water was clear to the bottom. Many small fish swim freely, and there are waterfalls of different sizes, with strange rocks and various shapes.
What left an unforgettable impression on me was Hongshi Gorge, where the stones were all red, as if they had been painted. The canyon is over 2000 meters long, with cliffs on both sides, making it particularly dangerous and exciting. We walked along the rugged mountain road and encountered a naturally formed cave along the way. The tour guide said that the cave was over 30 meters long and had spring water dripping down from it. After passing through the cave, we walked for about an hour and what caught our eye was a waterfall flowing down from the top of the mountain, which was over 60 meters high. I shouted happily. At this moment, the tour guide said, "This one is not big. There is another big one ahead." I quickened my pace and finally arrived at the top of the mountain. A large waterfall appeared in front of me, and the water seemed to be tilting down from the sky. The scene was very beautiful and spectacular. I couldn't help but think of a poem by Li Bai, "Flying down 3000 feet, it seems like the Milky Way has fallen nine days." My clothes were all wet.

First we took the bus to the Qinghai Park.There were so many different kinds of fishes that I could’t believe my eyes.We also saw the dolphin show.It was wonderful! Then we had lunch in a restaurant, where the seafood was delicious.In the afternoon we went to the seaside to swim.The sea was blue and the beach was golden.We all enjoyed ourselves.After that, we went shopping in a big mall, where I bought some souvenirs for my friends.We had a happy day.

I took a trip to Shanghai with my mother during the seven-day holiday. It took us more than two hours to drive to Shanghai from my home in Haimen. We stayed in a large hotel on the eighth floor. On the first day, I just stayed in the hotel and rested. On the second day, my brother and I went to Nanjing Road. It’s the busiest street in Shanghai. When we got there, there were lots of people. We walked from one shop to another. I bought two T-shirts and two pairs of trousers for the coming summer. The T-shirts and trousers I bought are all white because white is my favourite colour.
My brother also bought some clothes. On the third day, my mother took me to Jinjiang Entertainment Centre. It was full of people. I played many kinds of games there. I had a good time. The other days, I went to some other interesting places, such as the Oriental Bright Pearl TV Tower, the Huangpu River and Shanghai International Conference Centre.
I didn’t forget to do my homework in the evening. I had a full and happy holiday.
